And so is Hillgrove's speech day. Speech Day is the only occasion where we can all see teachers all dressed up, well except for those uniform group teachers, and we can then find some entertainment commenting on the teachers' sense of fashion(usually destructive comments). This year's speech day is different, in a sense that it is such a pain in the ass, no literally. The prize giving ceremony and the speech given by the principal took so long, i saw people sleeping. I couldn't being myself to sleep cause for one, i dont want to be disrespectful(we are supposed to feel honorned that we were invited for this thing on a saturday morning, 7.15a.m mind you.)And the second reason, the chair hurts my butt thus i so was not comfortable.




Apparently we had to go to school that early because we are supposed to be briefed by someone to tell us how to applause for the prize winners(even though we were also told by the Mcees later on).
So we sat and waited and i started telling ghost stories to mas and cheryl. I nearly died when i was telling the story to cheryl. She just couldn't get it until i explained everything in layman terms. (i did use some figure of speech when i was telling the story) HAHA cheryl, dont blame me for telling out your secret okay? =p




After the principal and the guest of honour gave their speech(and it was the longest speech EVER i tell you. Especially when we thought there isn't anymore speech, more words came out from them! I mean, dont need to talk so much right? I don't think anyone will listen to everything they say, maybe except ms teo cause she'll be correcting their pronounciation in her heart), the new president of the councilors came out and "opened" the concert. She's a real dilligent kid, i tell you. She actually memorised all that she needed to say instead of reading from cuecards like how others do. Like her mindset but if i were her i wouldn't do it. HAHA! It's too much a hassle lor when everybody is reading from the cuecards, just follow suit lah! damn, i so cannot be "somebody" in the future. It's like the blind leading the blind. That's why i say, that kid got the hardworking spirit!


Modern dancers were first.


Well darryl, i agree with you, their dance steps keep repeating. But it wasn't THAAAT bad a performance lah.

Then it was the malay dancers.





They were sooo cute when they did the head moving thing! It was a good performance from them as well.

Then, it was the choir!!! =)




Choir definetely will have video one!HAHA! It wasn't too bad as well, just that the first song they sped up a little and the second song rules though it's not in harmony. I know, abit contridicting my comments.

Oh, and the comments made during the video, weren't made by me or xiaomin. But by the girls sitting behind us. They were like making the yawning sound and imitating how the choir sang(when they obviously SO CANNOT sing as well as some of the choir girls.) If clara was sitting at my place, she'll probably scream at them. I can't do it cause they used to be my classmates in secondary 1 and 2. HATE their comments. They shouted something about the performance being not good and when everyone turned their heads, they started hiding. ???? What is this? Afraid of commenting now? Cowards.


Next was the concert band.


It was sloooow and nice. I think.


Well, really proud of sean(even though i dont know him and vice versa) because he is so much smarter and so much less proud than the "legendary" TYS. Hillgrove will have a NEW HERO! HAHA!

Speech Day aside, school matters.
My chinese o lvl oral examinations are coming up next tuesday and i am so freaking nervous. Especially since these few days the topics for the conversation part are like so damn difficult!!! DAMN. Plus, my cheena so cannot make it. Hopefully i can get a merit for my oral. HOPEFULLY.


I planned my timetable as well, for the study-for-o-lvls thing. It was neatly done but i didn't follow it for days! I did follow it for a couple of days then it was aiya-forget-it. Don't you guys feel like the year is going on so fast? I mean, one moment it was my dad's birthday and then the next, it's gonna be National Day?! Walau, next thing you know, it's 2008!!

Oh right, i slept over at clara's house last sat and we did some facial stuff and now my face is clearing up and credits goes to clara! Thanks claire. I never knew i had to wash my face everyday with facial wash(of course i'm kidding, think i thaaat dumb meh).
