Happy National Day, SINGAPORE!

42nd? Right, 42nd birthday!! The school had the celebration on wednesday and the sec 5s went to Fort Canning to celebrate. Everyone was allowed to wear red T-shirts and jeans to school and i, naturally decided to wear the traditional one, red top and white bottom.




All of us decided to bring food for the outing and have a small picnic there! Even the teachers.
I brought 2 big containers of spicy tuna sandwiches and it was not wiped out within a few seconds but was at the end of the whole picnic.

Before mentioning and posting pictures of the outing, let me just mention about the school ceremony. As usual, the school had the commanding and the sending in of the national flag and this year's well, was quite different. It was stricter, more discipline. Definetely nicer to see. Can't be bothered to take any pictures of everything that happened in school cause it's just the same as past years'. Anyways, we sang "my people my home" like last year and the year before, before setting off. We had some scoldings as well and some threatening too, which was ridiculous.


And we hit the road! Everyone started taking out their pink sheet(contains national day song lyrics) and started singing in the bus!



As you can see, food is bulging out of clara's bag! Yummy food for the picnic!!!

Anyhow, we sang loads of songs just like the year before and before we knew it, we were there! FORT CANNING!(okay, i know i sound like i've never been there before, i have okay!)

We actually found a swing near the area where we sit and the first thing we did was,

Faizah's apo apo was swiped out so quickly i had to snap the picture fast before anyone could have a bite of it! Love her MOM's cooking! AHHAHAAHHAA!




The teachers, we had to give food to. HAHA, no lah, not complaining. We gave them food willingly! Hmmmm, wonder who ate my tuna sandwich. Anyways, mrs tan was so impressed by cheryl's handmade muffins and faizah's mom's apo apo, she gave us 3 bottle of soya milk! NICE of her!




Which somehow made cheryl so happy, she wanted to fly and tell everyone!

After which we all went back to school and then shamonkeys went to.. CLARA'S house! We slept at clara's room for 1 hour before cheryl and faizah went back. Then mas, xm and i stayed behind for a little while before going home. It was a fun, tiring and moody day wednesday was.

9th august, my mom had to go to the NDP for the umbrella performance at noon time and we(my dad, and two sisters) went to City hall for lunch and then we went shopping! Ate at Ajisan cause we couldn't make up our minds what to eat for lunch.



Apparently, huiqin was happy cause of her kids meal.



I remember once, when she was younger, she cleaned off the scraps of food on the aeroplane plate and tried to bring it home when we paid the bill! haha, that was a funny sight to see. Her innocence of life, not yet removed from her.

Older sis and i ate noodles and had the same side dishes!



We then carried on to have our desserts!

YUMMY!!!

The sweet sugar thing was so nice i think i nearly wanted to lick the small jug!


Then, it was shopping time!!! I bought one dress and one super nice blouse from River Island which also happens to be my current favourite shopping place! Older sis bought a short shorts from there as well. P/s THE CASHIER GUY IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE. I so need to make a trip there again!=)I intend to use the dress or the blouse for the Japan tour. Oh right, did i mention we are going to Japan this year for our holiday? no? well, WE ARE! and i'm so super excited(well, not as excited if we were to go to New Zealand though. Will be going there two years later instead.)! CAUSE WE CAN SHOP MORE AND HAVE NICE FLUFFY SNOW!(that's what the agent guy from chan brothers told my mom. "The snow there ah you can see is different because it's more fluffy" and i was like *roll eyes* Isn't all snow the same?)



oh well, i have to go now, got poa tuition in the morning at 9! =(
